We need to make education a funding priority in Olympia and ensure that more money is reaching our classrooms. We must ensure our kids have excellent teachers and are prepared to challenge our students and make them competitive in our global economy. I’m serious about achieving meaningful changes to our education system.

We need a State Senator who believes we can do better for our kids and students.

Gregg is committed to helping kids succeed.  He believes this is something we’re all in together and that when we invest in our classrooms we’re also investing in Washington.

• I will make education a funding priority in Olympia and will work to ensure that more of our money is reaching the classrooms.

• I am serious about achieving meaningful changes to our education system that increase student achievement, closes the achievement gap and prepares our students to be college…and career-ready.

• I will work to ensure our kids have excellent teachers in every classroom and that they are prepared to challenge our students and make them competitive in our global economy.

• I support a College and Work Ready Graduation Requirement that implements a 24 credit high school graduation requirement, making sure all students have the opportunity to take more math, science, world language, arts and social studies courses.

• I support allowing our 300 school districts the flexibility they need to respond to fix troubled schools and administrators must have local authority to manage their staff to achieve performance goals.

• I support a teacher evaluation system that attracts, retains and awards teachers and supports their professional growth and focuses on improving teaching and learning.

• I believe effective teaching matters and student growth and achievement matter.  I’m ready to get administrators, principals, teachers, parents…and even our legislative leaders all working together towards the same goal – to make sure our kids are our first priority and our primary investment.
